2017 Haan Classic Series Shiraz Cabernet

Matured in new and old French oak barriques. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Emanating from the glass are spicy dark plum and liquorice scents which are trailed by some blackcurrant, graphite, cedary tobacco and dried herb notes. Medium to full in body with a plush feel the palate sports a rich profile of dark plum, blackcurrant and liquorice fruits which are underscored by toasty vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper. Velvety tannins with a generous aftertaste that has a polished feel to it.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
