Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Aromas of green apples and lime juice tinged with grassy herbaceous characters are followed by subtle citrusy fresh asparagus like notes. Light, fresh and very dry the palate has an elegant flavour profile of lime juice and citrus infused with grassy asparagus characters finishing with some herbaceous minerality and crisp acidity on the medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.5%
Its power and drive reflect the quality of the grapes from the 40yo Ribbon Vale Vineyard and the absence of oak. The flavours seem to be dominated by semillon, a thoroughly strange situation given it is the junior partner in the blend An ideal candidate for prolonged cellaring. Drink by 2027.
