2017 Pardon & Fils P Beaujolais

The Pardon family have owned vineyards in the Beaujolais wine-growing region since 1820. Excellent depth of colour displaying a dark purple red core with black tinged edgings and a vibrant purple hue. Fragrant aromas of macerated cherries and dark raspberries meld into violets, fresh herbs, subtle inky earth elements and spice. Light and dry the palate possesses juicy ripe cherry and raspberry flavours over infusions of violets and inky earth. Finishes spicy with lively acidity and slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of spicy ripe cherries, raspberries, inky earth characters and infusions of crushed violets. An excellent example of entry level Beaujolais.
