2017 Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy Terre de Maimbry Sancerre

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’.

A precise, concentrated Sancerre of great purity.

Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge to the outskirts. Aromas of lime and green apple overlaid with fresh herbs are followed by subtle herbaceous grassy characters and slate. Nicely textured the palate features generous lime and green apple flavours with a slatey back drop of fresh herbs, some grassiness and citrusy mineral characters. Excellent intensity, finishing dry with crisp acidity and a long lime, fresh herb, green apple, grassy character and flinty mineral aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
