2017 Quartz Reef Bendigo Estate Single Vineyard Pinot Noir

Certified organic. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed like aromas of violets join with ripe dark cherry and strawberry which meld into anise, spicy oak, forest floor and fresh herb notes. Rich and powerful with terrific fruit intensity the well sized palate is engulfed with ripe dark cherry, plum and strawberry flavours which overlay a back drop of anise, spicy oak, subtle earth and traces of dried herbs. Supplely textured with silky smooth tannins and bright underlying acidity. Finishes rich, velvety and deliciously long.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

This is a very good pinot, delivering a mix of powerful fruit and a focused structure. Violets and ripe red cherries sit amid gently stony, flinty nuances, leading to a palate that has a succulent, lithe and juicy core of vibrant cherries and chalky tannins. Great pinot. Drink now. Screw cap.
