Matured in new and older French oak. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. The nose offers up juicy dark fruit aromas, liquorice, vanillin cedar, earthy dried meat like notes and spicy pepper. Medium to full bodied the palate is flooded with rich dark cherry, blackberry and liquorice flavours which intermingle with vanillin cedar, some inky earth and spice. Bright youthful finish with fine grained tannins and an aftertaste of freshly crushed dark berries, liquorice, inky earth characters and spicy vanillin cedar.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
The spicy black cherry/berry aromas of the bouquet show the way for the palate to follow, and it does just that, also adding its own character to the fine, but persistent, tannins, part from fruit, part the new and used French oak in which this estate-grown wine was matured. Drink by 2037.
