Aged in French oak mostly of second and third use. Deep bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a vibrant purple red hue. Aromas of spicy ripe cherries and strawberries delicately infused with clove are followed by traces of forest floor. Light weight, youthful and juicy, the cherry and ripe strawberry fruit has a vibrant feel to it. Subtle vanillin cedar, dried herbs and spicy forest floor elements are also evident. Finishes with a lick of fresh acidity, fine grained tannins and a medium powered aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.5%
I love the pomegranate character here and how it intermingles with fresh tea leaves and undergrowth. Medium body with a cool-fruited core of berries, interlaced with firm tannins and culminating in a tangy finish. Drink now.
