2018 Barwon Ridge Shiraz

Includes a component of whole bunches with maturation taking place in French oak barrels. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry aromas are complimented by smoky vanillin cedar, clove and peppered meat notes. Rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits carry ample body weight and a plush feel across the full bodied palate. Deep, concentrated and opulent yet savoury, notions of vanillin cedar, scorched earth, dried meats and peppered herbs lie underneath. Velvety tannins finishing long, polished and peppery.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
