2018 Bird on a Wire Marsanne

Oily like texture yet fresh with a dry, elegant and slightly waxy finish.

Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with distinct highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated ripe peach, honeysuckle and toast aromas are followed by some lemon butter, bees wax and delicate spicy nut notes. Peach, dried apricot and bees wax flavours carry an oily like textural feel over an almond and spice back drop. Possessing plenty of underlying freshness it finishes dry, elegant and slightly waxy.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

From 23-year-old vines located on the boundary of Yarra Glen and Dixons Creek; matured in seasoned French barrels. Aromas of white peaches, hazelnuts, honey and a little spice on the nose of this savoury and complex wine. A full but very bright green gold. While bottle age has delivered a gently textured, nutty and long wine, it's still got vibrant acidity keeping things youthful and fresh. Drink by 2026.
