2018 Cantina Tollo Rocca Ventosa Terre di Chieti Sangiovese

Retasted 04/12/2019:  Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Uplifted aromas of dark cherries, plum and liquorice mix with fresh herbs and spicy earth. Light to medium weight the palate is filled with juicy dark cherry and plum fruits which are underpinned by earth and spicy herbs. Smooth mid palate feel with soft tannins, good freshness and a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Tasted 3/7/2019: Opaque dark red black core with a dark red hue. Scented aromas of freshly crushed dark cherries tinged with hints of violets are trailed by subtle inky earth and spicy herb notes. Light to medium weight the palate sees juicy ripe cherry flavours combine with inky earthy characters and spice. Slightly dryish finish with dusty tannins and medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
