2018 Chateau Juvenal La Terre du Petit Homme Ventoux

A blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. Dense inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced black raspberry and liquorice aromas are trailed by ripe black cherry, scorched earth, dried herb and peppered meat notes. Exuberant black raspberry, black cherry and liquorice fruits impress with both their level of richness and size across the full bodied palate. Notions of herbs du Provence, scorched earth, dried meats and blackpepper lie underneath. Ripe chewy tannins with a long opulent and muscular finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Stepping up in price as well as quality, the 2018 Ventoux La Terre Du Petit Homme is 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, with the Grenache brought up in tank and the rest in barrel. It offers a deep purple color as well as terrific notes of black raspberries, ground pepper, crushed violets, and classic Southern Rhône garrigue and herbal notes. Medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced, with ripe yet present tannins, it’s a brilliant wine in the making.
