2018 Chateau Les Grands Marechaux
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated ripe red to black currant scents fill the nostrils with hints of mulberry, cedary tobacco notes, earth and spice also chiming in. Mid weighted the palate has an elegant flavour profile of red to black currant and mulberry fruit framed by a sturdy fine grained tannin structure. Earth, cedary tobacco characters and spice linger through the back half. Slightly dryish medium length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 14%

A juicy wine with blackberries and hints of black cherries and flowers. It’s medium-bodied with light tannins and roundness and softness at the end. Drink now or hold.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Les Grands Marechaux offers up vibrant notes of kirsch, black raspberries and blackberry preserves, with suggestions of sautéed herbs, tobacco leaf and dusty earth. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing and soft-textured, with bags of juicy red and black fruits and an herbal lift on the finish. Drink 2021-2033.

Red and black cherry fruit is gilded liberally with floral notes and backed by a sleek, mineral-edged finish. There is a late cedary twinge as well. Drink now through 2024. 4,300 cases made.
