2018 Domaine des Marechaux Bordeaux Superieur

100% Merlot. Dense midnight black dark red core with a deep dark red black hue. Nosing offers up aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice which are complimented by scorched earth, black olive and spicy leather. Medium bodied the palate is generously endowed with blackcurrant and liquorice fruit which overlays a back drop of cigar box, scorched earth and spicy black olive characters. Firm, slightly grippy tannins with a ripe spicy mid length finish that has a lingering cigar box element to it.
