2018 Domaine Fourrier Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots Vieille Vigne Premier Cru
Other Reviews....
The 2018 Vougeot 1er Cru Les Petits Vougeot opens in the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries and orange rind, framed by a deft touch of creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, it's fine-boned, finishing with chalky grip, though it was a little introverted on the palate when I tasted it.

The 2018 Vougeot Les Petits Vougeot 1er Cru has a pretty, potpourri-tinged red and black cherry bouquet that is very Vosne-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, plenty of raspberry confit and crushed strawberry fruit laced with dark chocolate toward the grippy finish. Lovely texture here, and impressive length. This needs three to five years in bottle.

Dense bright purple, with a perfectly proportioned nose, crystalline clarity along with some riper dark cherry fruit on the palate, excellent length with really fine pure fruit stretching out beautifully. This is a superb example.
