2018 Erste & Neue Pinot Bianco

Made in a very similar vein to the Pinot Grigio and picked at the same time (at a similar altitude) to help retain vibrancy. Post fermentation, the pressed juice spends 3 to 4 months in steel with around 10% on solids to add a touch more texture and palate weight.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with distinctive highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of pear mix with green apple and lime over a spicy back drop. Fresh pear and lime zest fruits are backed by crunchy green apples with a back drop of slate and flinty mineral characters. Dry zesty finish with some tang to the long focused aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
