2018 First Drop Mother's Milk Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in 3 and 4 year old French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated spicy dark plum aromas intermix with dark cherry and liquorice followed by some earth and subtle dried herb notes. Lush dark plum and liquorice fruits have a silky feel across the medium to full bodied palate. Elements of vanillin oak, earthy fennel and spice ensue. Velvety tannins with a plush medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

The aromas and flavors of plums, smoked meat, raw meat, cloves, nutmeg and berries are sumptuous. Full body, round and polished tannins and a flavorful finish. Yet reserved and focused at the finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
