2018 Harewood Estate Denmark Chardonnay

Fermented then matured in a mix of new and second use French oak barriques and puncheons for a period of 11 months. Bright pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced ripe peach top notes are intermeshed with apricot and melon. A dried honey overlay then follows with citrusy nougat and spice elements also evident. Ripe, mouth filling and creamy in texture the palate is bestowed with concentrated spicy peach and more subtle apricot fruits which sit over a back drop of dried honey and biscuity nougat characters. Finishes with a burst of freshness on the long generous aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
