2018 was considered to be an outstanding year for Cabernet Sauvignon throughout Margaret River. A long warm dry Indian summer with no heat spikes produced wines with ripe and ultra fine tannins, moderate alcohols and excellent natural acidity. A vintage destined to become highly collectable.
Made from a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot/Malbec this wine was matured in French oak, 15% new, for a period of 14 months.

Unbeatable value from the stunning 2018 vintage.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Sailing out of the glass are blissful aromatics of ripe red currant and mulberry which interplay with cedary tobacco notes, dried herbs, subtle black olive and spice. Exceling at it’s price point the palate delivers a savoury, medium bodied flavour profile of rich red currant and mulberry fruits over lightly dusted cedar, spicy tobacco and bay leaf. Excellent intensity and depth with seamlessly integrated tannins lending further polish. Delightfully long conclusion. Sub $20 Margaret River Cabernets doesn’t get any better than this!
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews…..
Bright, clear crimson-purple; this punches way above its weight from the outset. Supple cassis and persistent - but silky - tannins sketch the outline of a wine with freshness and a balance that will sustain its shape for however long you elect to cellar it. Exceptional value. Drink by 2030.
