2018 Lenton Brae Cabernet Merlot

Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant infused with a mix of black olives and tobacco meld into toasty vanillin cedar and spicy bay leaf notes. Rich black currant fruits are overshadowed a touch by toasty vanillin cedar characters on the back half. Black olive, tobacco and spicy dried herb elements are also evident. Good depth with a sturdy tannin structure imparting a chalky feel onto the medium to long conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
