2018 Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz

Sourced from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek the flamboyant Boxer Shiraz is famed for it’s massive fruit weight, voluptuous texture and decadent richness.
Pitch black in colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting from the glass are heady aromas of ripe black cherries, liquorice, blackberries and black plum followed by vanillin oak, fennel and spice. Heavy, rich and voluptuously textured, the oak component has been dialled down a touch  compared to last years release resulting in better balance. True to the Mollydooker style lavish, rich black fruits bombard the palate underpinned by toasty vanillin oak, some fennel and spice. Very smooth, velvet like tannins. Bursting with exuberance as well as boasting superb concentration and power it concludes very long.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
