2018 mt. wines Heathcote Shiraz

Matured for 10 months in mature French oak barrels. Totally opaque dark purple black colour with a bright dark purple hue. The nose dispels aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and liquorice over toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with good fleshy richness, the palate is filled with ripe dark cherry, liquorice and blackberry flavours which meld into vanillin cedar and spicy pepper elements. Supple and refined mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Good length with a spicy dark plum, liquorice, dark cherry, vanillin cedar and light pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
