2018 Nicks Secret Pyrenees Chardonnay

Matured in French oak barriques with monthly lees stirring to improve texture and complexity. Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Intense ripe peach and nectarine scents are complexed by bees wax, some oily toast like notes, hints of lemon butter and spicy nougat. Rich and texturally creamy yet elegant the mid weighted palate features nectarine and pear fruits over bees wax, buttery toast like characters, almonds and spice. Finishes with a citrusy freshness on the refined medium to long conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Estate-grown, hand-picked, whole-bunch-pressed, wild-fermented in French barriques (30% new), matured for 9 months. Bright, light straw-green; white peach, melon and pink grapefruit on the bouquet, moving to a grapefruit-driven palate with cool climate regalia. Delicious and fresh. Drink by 2026.
