2018 Trimbach Riesling

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Expressive lime and toast aromas are followed by hints of lemon butter, kerosene and spice. Lime and citrus flavours overlay an oily toast back drop with some lingering flinty mineral elements also apparent. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a long kerosene laced aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Slight reduction still shows on the nose of this wine, but promises freshness. The palate comes in with uncommon brightness and slenderness for 2018 and seems to make a show of its uncompromising tartness, but there is concentration galore. The finish is dry and all about zesty citrus.
