Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of pear and lime meld into green apple, hints of dried honey and spicy fresh herb notes. Fresh pear and peach flavours fill the mouth with a rounded feel underscored by lime, wet slate and gentle infusions of fresh herbs. Lively acidity lends energy and tension to an elegant aftertaste that has some orange tang to it.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

2018 and 2019 are a return to cooler vintages in Rías Baixas, and I was able to compare the entry-level Albariño bottling from Albamar from both years, the youngest of which, the 2019 Albamar, had just been bottled. Here, they use purchased and own grapes, and it's produced in a fresh style. This is a little riper than 2018, which is sharper. Xurxo said this reminds him of the 2016 in the sense that this is ready and approachable. It has a vibrant saline finish. Despite its approachability, it should also last in bottle. Drink 2020-2024.
