2019 Briar Ridge Dairy Hill Semillon
Water like colour with a distinct greenish tinge running around the outskirts. Lifted spicy green apple and lime scents mix with fresh herb, subtle lemon butter, wet stone and subtle gun flint notes. Light and lively the palate features green apple and lime fruits over delicate lemon butter, infusions of fresh herbs and stony mineral characters. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and a long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.3%
Other Reviews….
In the epicentre of the '19 vintage, a happy hunting ground for semillon. In what I term ‘modern style', the wine has an extra volume of citrus fruit on the bouquet and the mid-palate, pulled smartly into balance by minerally acidity. Drink by 2034.
