2019 Charteris Pinot Noir

Includes 32% whole bunch fruit with maturation taking place in French oak of which 20% was new. Semi translucent bright dark red colour with subtle tinges of black to the outskirts and a light luminous red hue. A perfumed like bouquet of violets, red to dark cherries, plum and strawberries greets the nostrils trailed by anise, forest floor, subtle spicy cedar and fresh herbs. Delicious ripe dark cherry, plum and strawberry fruits are both supple and succulent across the palate. Subtle anise, forest floor, infusions of fresh herbs and spicy cedar tail off into the background. An excellent power wave carried by fine polished tannins and well integrated fresh acidity. Long elegant aftertaste.
