2019 Chateau Pegau Cotes du Rhone Cuvee Maclura

Dense black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated black raspberry and peppered herb scents are trailed by red liquorice, scorched earth and meaty graphite like notes. Rich black cherry and liquorice flavours are underscored by earthy graphite, dried herb, black olive and peppered meat characters.
Bright acidity and muscular tannins provide a robust structure. Concludes ripe, fresh and grippy.

As to the reds, the 2019 Côtes Du Rhône Maclura offers plenty of dark fruits, black olive, and peppery garrigue in its rich, mouth-filling, full-bodied style. It’s a classic, pleasure-bent 2019 to drink over the coming 3-5 years. Drink 2021-2026.
