2019 Cien Y Pico Doble Pasta Garnacha Tintorera

Bodegas Cien Y Pico is the story of four winemakers from different countries, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and Australia, coming together to produce wine from some of the oldest vines in the DO Manchuela.

A blend of Garnacha and Tintoera sourced from 100 plus year old bush vines with maturation taking place in 20% new Radoux 225 litre barriques for a period of 19 months.
Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Jumping out of the glass with plenty of intensity is a mix of black raspberry, liquorice, dried cherry, scorched earth and spicy dried herb aromas. Rich, dense and concentrated the palate is awash with lush aniseed as well as black and dried cherry flavours which are underscored by ripe chewy tannins. Earthy dried herb and spicy mint characters also chime in. Concludes ripe and robust with a slightly grippy feel.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
