2019 Condie The Max Heathcote Shiraz

The Max is Condie’s Reserve Shiraz and is produced with 20% whole bunch inclusion and maturation in French oak (50% new) for a period of 20 months. Midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas flood the olfactory senses trailed by dark chocolate, vanillin oak and peppered earth notes. Full in body and opulently textured, rich blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits coat the palate with notions of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and subtle peppered earth elements also chiming in. Excellent depth and power with a velvety feel to what is otherwise a sturdy underlying framework of tannins. Concludes long, plush and seductive.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
