2019 Domaine Barmes-Buecher Rosenberg Pinot Gris
Certified Biodynamic. Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Intense ripe pear, baked apple and honeycomb like aromas fill the nostrils with hints of musk and ginger also apparent. Rich pear, ripe apple and honeysuckle flavours have a luscious feel yet are underscored by wonderful fresh acidity. Subtle musk and quince elements linger through the back half. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and a harmoniously elegant conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews…..
Not only is this Alsace pinot gris properly dry, it has wonderful freshness and clarity. which make it a winner. And behind this is very pronounced, chalky minerality that provides excellent grip at the long, crisp finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
