2019 Domaine Les Aphillanthes Vieilles Vignes Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu

A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre. Dense midnight black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Heady black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry aromas fill the nostrils followed by some provincial herb, scorched earth and spicy pepper notes. Rich, powerful and luscious the weighty palate is awash with succulent black raspberry, black cherry and liquorice fruits which are backed by a sturdy tannin framework. Infusions of dried herbs, scorched earth and spicy pepper characters lie underneath. Opulent yet chewy in its texture it has a fully loaded super succulent finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
