2019 Domenica Nebbiolo

I might be going out on a limb here, but I’d say Domenica make the best Nebbiolo in Australia. It has the firm signature of the grape variety, not straying into ‘bold dry red’ like some.
Beautifully made. Tannin, acidity, flavour all in balance, and no sign of noisome oak sullying this most noble of red grape varieties. It has rose and almond, red cherry and strawberry, a flicker of mint/menthol, a little spice and black tea. Medium-bodied, sure-footed gently rusty tannin, and a long nutty savoury finish. It’s outstanding. Classic style and so good to drink. Drink 2022 - 2032+
