2019 Grasshopper Rock Earnscleugh Vineyard Pinot Noir

Aged in French oak barriques for approximately 10 months, of which 28% was new oak. Deep dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. Blossoming from the glass are aromas of violet, dark cherries, plum and strawberries with some anise, earth and spicy cedar notes also evident. The fleshy light to medium bodied palate sports delicious dark cherry, dark plum and anise flavours over strawberry, dried herb, earth and spicy cedar characters. Slightly dryish but otherwise polished tannins with a savoury mid length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
