2019 Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon
Matured in French and American oak for 12 months. Deep black dark red heart with a dark red hue. Elevated blackcurrant and mulberry aromas are followed by tobacco, dried herb and spicy cedar notes. Rich blackcurrant fruits infused with a mix of mulberry and mint decorate the medium to full bodied palate. Some liquorice, cedary tobacco and spice elements linger across the back half. Sturdy yet well integrated tannins. Medium to long it concludes ripe and generous.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews…..
Crafted from the region’s most noted red variety, aromas of crimson and purple berries rather than darker, blacker, denser fruit offer a vibrant start that’s enhanced with harmonic cooler mint and dusted cut ivy sensibilities. The juiciness that follows gathers all those attractive aromatic elements into a cleverly weighted palate, neatly feathered with light tannins – just right for this everyday Cabernet. You can’t ask for more than that.
