2019 Joel Gott Zinfandel

A blend of 97% Zinfandel and 3% Petie Sirah matured in 20% new American oak and 80% two year old French oak for a period of 12 months. Dark red black tinged heart with a dark red hue. Black cherry, black plum and liquorice aromas emerge out of the glass trailed by some vanillin oak, earth and cinnamon spice notes. Rich morello and black cherry fruits combine with liquorice over a vanillin oak, earth and spicy cinnamon back drop. Ripe chewy tannins finishing long, fleshy and spicy.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
