Dense super saturated inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced dark plum, liquorice and blackberry aromas fill the nostrils followed by vanillin oak, fennel and light pepper notes. Rich, densely packed blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits swamp the mouth backed by a robust tannin structure. Vanillin oak, subtle earth and peppered fennel characters lie underneath. Excellent concentration and depth with a long opulent yet sturdily built finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews....
Ripe red and dark-plum aromas here, as well as raspberry and blackberry, The palate has pure, ripe, sweet blackberry flavors and a juicy, fleshy feel. Sweetly ripe and drinkable now. Screw cap.

Such vivid colour in the glass.. Purple-crimson and alive with it. With the colour comes flavour and lots of it, though it remains fresh. Youthful is the word. Plums, cloves, licorice and earth but with an overlay of cedar. And that really is the wine: sexy oak on ripe-but-fresh fruit, the oak sitting slightly apart; integration is the wine’s main weakness. But most red wine drinkers will lap this up, and rightly so. Drink 2022 - 2026+

Matured for 20 months in a combination of French and American oak. In a word: delicious. The fruit is midnight, silken and flowing; precisely shaped by the oak that holds it, never once stepping out of line. A lovely, consistent and lyrical wine of class and poise. Drink by 2028.
