2019 Lo Stesso Fiano

This small planting (less than 1 hectare) of Fiano on the Jasper Hill property is located very close to the winery at the southern end of Georgia’s Paddock. The wine is made by Emily and Georgia Roberts and in the early years was produced entirely from purchased fruit. It was partially fermented in used oak and bottled relatively early (under stelvin) to retain freshness.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of fresh pear, limes and green apple subtly infused with herbs are followed by some wet slate notes. Racy lime, green apple and pear fruits laced with fresh herbs and flinty mineral characters show excellent intensity. Fresh crunch acidity leads into a dry zippy finish and a long mouth watering aftertaste.
