2019 McHenry Hohnen Rocky Road Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

A blend of 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc with partial fermentation in large format oak casks. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Herbaceous gooseberry and citrus aromas have a grassy asparagus like overlay followed by subtle spicy pencil shaving notes. Light and zippy with a dry crisp finish the palate sports a flavour profile of herbaceous gooseberries and citrus over grassy asparagus and flinty mineral characters. Concludes long and fresh.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
