2019 Nicks Secret LHB Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This Nicks Secret Cabernet Sauvignon is from one of Coonawarra’s most renown estates which was established in 1974. Normally sold for $25 and now with the added bonus of over 5 years bottle age it delivers exceptional everyday drinking at just $14.99. Made from vines planted between 1974 and 2000, it’s produced in a fruit forward style being aged in predominately 2-5 year old French and American oak.

Midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Sailing from the glass with plenty of intensity are blackcurrant and mulberry aromas which intermingle with vanillin cedar, tobacco, earth and bay leaf notes. Unravelling across the medium bodied palate with ample generosity to their feel are rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruits. Also chiming in are spicy vanillin cedar, tobacco, earthy black olive and bay leaf accents. Sturdy tannins imparting a gentle firmness onto the long, well fruited conclusion.
