2019 Pooley Pinot Noir

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright purple red hue. Very perfumed, the nose sees aromas of violets, dark cherries, ripe strawberries and anise sail out of the glass with notions of fresh herbs, subtle forest floor and spicy cedar ensuing. Making a very supple entrance, the palate is richly flavoured with expansive ripe dark cherry, plum and strawberry fruits. The back half picking up accents of anise, spicy cedar and subtle herb laced earth characters. Abundant power with silky smooth tannins and a long, rich, sleek aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
