2019 San Polo Governo Toscana IGT

Originally planted in 1990, Allegrini of Veneto purchased San Polo in 2007 with the goal to transform the Estate into a premium world renowned venture.

Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of violets, ripe red currants and dark cherries are followed by earthy vanillin cedar and dried herbs. Mid weighted the palate is decorated with fleshy dark currant and ripe cherry fruits which show good richness. Notions of dried herbs, earthy tobacco characters and spicy cedar lie beneath. Well integrated tannins have a polished feel and lead into a lengthy finish that’s quite savoury.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
