2019 San Polo Rubio Toscana IGT

Certified organic this wine is a blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of subtle rose petal scents, red currant and red cherry followed by earth, spice and fresh herb notes. Medium bodied, there’s a sense of elegance to the red currant and red cherry fruits which are layered across a savoury back drop of earth, dried herbs and subtle spice. Finishes with good freshness, tannins that are well integrated and have a polished feel and a nicely balanced aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Spicy and perfumed nose with plenty of cherry, tomato and even strawberry. Some well-judged oak adds a backdrop of layered spice on the palate.
