2019 Steels Gate Nagambie Vineyard Graciano

Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Spicy dark raspberry aromas combine with ripe cherry, liquorice, scorched earth and peppered herb notes. Medium bodied, upfront juicy raspberry, cherry and liquorice fruits have an earthy back drop with some dried herb and spicy pepper characters also evident. Dryish finish with slightly chewy tannins, bright acidity and a medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Graciano is pretty in name and in the glass, a Spanish red wine that is showing a strong suitability to the Nagambie soils with a medium-bodied, fragrant and charming wine. Resplendent in forest fruits, plums, dried herbs and cedar aromas, it moves up a notch in intensity on the palate, abundant in deep fruit and sweet oak flavours. Framed in fine tannins, it should develop well. Drink by 2029.
