Dominating, strong wine of floral and sage herb notes, strong woody clove aromas, dashes of white pepper, red soil earthiness, stewed plum, cassis and kirsch. A fog emerges from the glass. Warm, round, palate-staining and chewy fruit character, more of the sweet, ferrous earthiness, stewed, soft plum fruit character and licks of slick kirsch and cassis again, finishes with drying clove spiciness. Moves at a slow pace, floods the senses, balanced, big, no, huge, emphatic red wine. Drink 2024 - 2040.
