2020 Apsley Gorge Vineyard Pinot Noir

Aged in a mixture of new and 2 year old French oak. Dark red in colour with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. The nose is greeted with a mix of red to black cherries and subtle anise infused with stalk followed by some dried herb, brambly cedar and spice notes. Rich, bold and fleshy textured the mid weighted palate is well endowed with dark to black cherry, strawberry and anise flavours which overlay a toasty cedar, dried herb, earth and spice back drop. Fine grained tannins provide ample structure. Excellent power with a long ripe conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
