2020 Argiano Rosso di Montalcino

Made from 100% Sangiovese from vines ranging in age from 12 to 22 years old with maturation taking place in French oak for a few months.
Dark red core with black shaded edges and a red hue. Delightful red currant and red liquorice aromas infused with rose petals drift out of the glass complimented by some earth, dried herb and spicy tobacco notes. Rich red currant and red cherry fruits show excellent intensity and flesh across the mid weighted palate with earthy dried herb, tobacco and spice characters also chiming in. Perfectly integrated, vibrant acidity and slightly grippy tannins provide the framework. Concludes long, supple and savoury with some rusticity adding further interest.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
