The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Jarrons 1er Cru has an attractive nose with dark berry fruit, crushed stone, briary and touches of Earl Grey. Quite complex. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, fine grip with a vibrant and slightly minty finish. Very fine. Drink 2025-2040.

Bright vibrant purple, deep raspberry with some currants too, this has a fresh overlay and is well in harmony, with an excellent fruit acid balance, much more than tannins. Good length too, showing very well in quite a refined style. 14.2% (an outlier chez Leroux) but this really does not show.
