Bright and cheerful this has some really delicious sappy fruits, some sweet apricot in the mid palate, this is enjoyable, has managed to keep pace and lift in a difficult vintage for the appellation.

The 2020 Filhot has a simple bouquet of lemon sherbet, nectarine and hints of marmalade – as usual, lighter in style than other Sauternes. The palate is balanced with a viscous opening. It is not heavy but quite straightforward, sporting tangerine and quince notes on the finish. Decent, early-drinking Sauternes.
