2020 Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak for 11 months (30% new) with 7% whole bunch inclusion in the fermentation process. Deep dark red colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe dark cherry, anise and strawberry scents fill the nostrils followed by dried herb, smoked meat and spicy cedar notes. Fleshy dark cherry, ripe strawberry and anise flavours carry ample weight and richness across the medium bodied palate. Dried herb, toasty oak and forest floor characters ensue. Spicy finish with polished tannins and a long gliding aftertaste flush with ripe dark fruits.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
