2020 Curator Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon
Dense pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose is filled with ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate aromas which intermingle with vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice notes. Rich, opulent ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice fruits flood the full bodied palate with vanillin oak, subtle earthy mocha and spice elements lining the back half. Velvet like tannin structure concluding long, ripe and plush.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews….
Cabernet sauvignon from Marananga; matured in French oak for 18 months. Bright crimson and packed with vibrant red plum, blackberry and red cherry fruits with hints of fine spice, orange blossom, licorice, violets, cedar and raspberry coulis. Some tobacco leaf flows in on the palate, which shows predominantly red fruits, fine sandy tannin and a savoury sweep at the tail end. Drink by 2030.
